America's Lee Legacy

Robert E. Lee was widely considered one of the most respected and celebrated figures in American history, particularly in the South, following the Civil War, largely due to his military prowess as a Confederate general, his perceived nobility, and his efforts to promote reconciliation after the war by accepting defeat and becoming the president of Washington College; however, his legacy is now more complex due to his association with slavery and the Confederate cause.

So will the presentists and Marxists win the narrative on Lee? Not if we, and these special guests, have our way!

Join Dr. Ann McLean and alumnus Gib Kerr, ‘85, for this virtual event discussing Robert E. Lee’s legacy and the current threat to the Arlington Reconciliation Memorial.

Further registration details can be found HERE.

This virtual event is sponsored by Defend Arlington, with guest speakers from The Virginia Council and The Generals Redoubt.
