Matt Walsh Lecture to Be Rescheduled

As you know, the noted conservative commentator Matt Walsh was scheduled to speak in Lexington on March 30.  The announcement of his appearance created substantial interest on campus, and unfortunately, even threats of violence.  It also highlighted the precarious state of Freedom of Speech at Washington and Lee.

The school shooting in Nashville, where Mr. Walsh lives, coupled with threats against him personally and his family, convinced Mr. Walsh that it was not an appropriate time to be away from his family, and as you can see from his tweet below, he decided to postpone his Lee Chapel program.

It is expected that Mr. Walsh will speak in Lee Chapel later this year.
