Remember TGR in Your End-of-Year Charitable Giving!

As 2022 comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank you for your support over the past year, whether financially or otherwise.  Together, we have made impacts on the University we all hold dear.  We have sought to empower the students, parents, alumni, friends, and supporters of Washington and Lee University to advance the unique history and traditions of honor, civility, and a classical liberal arts education through our efforts in a multitude of ways, and we have been quite successful.

This year, your donations have helped us host speakers like Larry Elder, receive constructive support and encouragement from past speaker Heather Mac Donald, host student panels focused on honor and civility issues on campus, publish letters refuting falsehoods being promoted by University faculty and administration, support student groups on campus, bolster community efforts to save Lee Chapel, finance larger marketing campaigns targeted at saving Lee Chapel, and purchase tokens and marketing materials in support of our history, values and traditions.  We have also been able to participate in more national movements focused on promoting free speech in our colleges and universities, including FIRE (first time W&L participated in their Freedom of Speech survey) and AFSA (founding member of Alumni Free Speech Alliance).

Through your support, The Generals Redoubt is effectively carrying out our mission on campus with student support and for the benefit of the students, within the local community to enlighten the public and form a solid base of support, within the state of Virginia though our informative marketing and interviews, and nationally through our affiliation with other peer groups, several of which TGR has helped organize.  We are seeing the fruits of our efforts in so many ways!

As you consider your end of year giving, we urge you to consider supporting The Generals Redoubt.  With your help, our plans in the next year include bringing more speakers to campus, partnering with the Mock Convention team on some of these; educating more people on the historical importance of the University’s namesakes; and pushing back on the woke agenda that is currently guiding the decision-making of the Board of Trustees.  With your gift, we will make continued progress toward reestablishing the institutions and leaders of Washington and Lee which reflect our community’s best values and traditions.

The Generals Redoubt is a non-partisan 501 (c) (3) organization and your donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law. You may give in a multitude of ways, all of which can be found on our website at  https://thegeneralsredoubt.us/support-us/.  Thank you for your consideration and support!  The Generals Redoubt is a non-partisan 501 (c) (3) organization that is not aligned with, nor supports, any political party, individual, or organization.
